So, had my final exhibition at Camberwell this week. Here’s a little panorama of part of the show.
It’s running for a couple more days so if you’re in the vicinity, pop down and have a look!

So, I took my scanner to the streets and started accosting people in my local area. Had quite a bit of fun taking these, people were very bemused.

So I needed a break from my dissertation. Scanning and assembling is very relaxing.

And another.
This one was an experiment, the subject was sitting on a chair which is why the knees are all strange and disjointed.

Another old one.

pixelarray:

A polaroid of a very helpful model who stepped in after I ruined my negatives, she needs much praise. This is the polaroid I took to make sure the lighting (two studio flash, one with a reflector and one with a soft box) was working. It was until the sync cable fell out.

This is the first one I did. I’m not sure I like it any more though, it’s a bit scary looking and disjointed. I do love the pattern on that dress though, I’ll have to have another attempt at some point.

Another older one. Trying to keep ‘em coming while I’m in the flow!

Here’s one from my scanner project earlier this year. What’s unfortunate about uploading them here is that at full resolution the detail in hairs and skin are incredible. The same goes for the material in the previous one. You just don’t get quite the same effect at a lower resolution.

Many thanks to the model for his patience while making this. I’ll get around to piecing some of the other sets together at some point.

This is the kind of thing I was doing for most of last year, before I didn’t do anything for a while. I should probably put up some of those at some point.
Made using a generic flatbed scanner. I confess, I’m a bit infatuated with the whole process.
